The problem: Food Now, a nonprofit free food pantry in my neighborhood, was facing slumping donations resulting from the recession and a reorganization within the agency. The solution: Increase contributions by giving major fundraiser program guides and their invitations some personality. The organization was using clip art before I changed its look.
As the communications specialist for D.A.P., I was on the team serving as the advertising agency of record for the nonprofit healthcare center. The Problem: The agency discovered addiction to crystal methamphetamine (nicknamed Tina) was epidemic among clients. The Solution: I was charged with crafting a marketing campaign that acknowledged the issue and explained D.A.P.'s addiction support services. The campaign, titled "Let's Talk About Tina...," included a logo, video testimonials, an article in our monthly newsletter, point-of-contact brochures, a special event, banners and a website. Here are a few elements from the groundbreaking campaign.
